Who am I? Ellen Dahill Govan, Girl Scouts of Western Washington Council volunteer, I’ve been a Girl Scout leader for 25+ years, and this is my 43rd year as a Girl Scout. Please note, although I am not a GSWW Council Facilitator; I offer Hiking and Backpacking 101 workshops to train scouts on how to be prepared for hiking, expand their horizons, and for those interested, to help them complete some badge/IPA requirements. I do have all the necessary Girl Scout trainings: GS Outdoor Education, plus Wilderness First Aid. And miles of trail dirt (mud) under my soles…..

Meet Angelina Ramirez. I have been a Girl Scout for nearly 20yrs. I run a super troop in my town as well as help run the YAYAs program. I am an alumni of YAYA hikers. I started hiking in the group as a 6th grader in fall 2009 and have been hiking and backpacking with them ever since. I have GS outdoor training, all necessary leader training, first aid, wilderness first aid plus 18 years of hiking experience.
