Meet Hiking Leaders  Alex Ash, Rin Ball and Angelina Ramirez!

Meet Angelina Ramirez. I have been a Girl Scout for nearly 20yrs. I run a super troop in my town of over 30+ scouts, Co-Director of Kayak North Day Camp, and one of the leaders of the YAYAs program. I am an alumni of YAYA hikers. I started hiking in the group as a 6th grader in fall 2009 and have been hiking and backpacking with them ever since. I have GS outdoor training, all necessary leader training, first aid, wilderness first aid plus 18 years of hiking experience.

Who am I? Ellen Dahill Govan, Girl Scouts of Western Washington Council volunteer, I’ve been a Girl Scout leader for 25+ years, and this is my 43rd year as a Girl Scout. Please note, although I am not a GSWW Council Facilitator; I offer Hiking and Backpacking 101 workshops to train scouts on how to be prepared for hiking, expand their horizons, and for those interested, to help them complete some badge/IPA requirements. I do have all the necessary Girl Scout trainings: GS Outdoor Education, plus Wilderness First Aid. And miles of trail dirt (mud) under my soles…..
